"The Flash" failed because the main character did not attract the interest of the audience, especially the female part. At least, that's what director Andres Muschietti thinks. Barry Allen turned out to be less attractive to viewers than Batman or Superman, Muschietti believes. In order to compensate for the $200 million that Warner Bros. spent on the film, the studio decided to please everyone and attract to the screenings even those who were not initially interested in watching. However, this strategy led to the fact that the comic book movie did not attract anyone. James Gunn, the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy", which was little known before the premiere, is probably smiling, looking at this situation.
