Denis Villeneuve has reaffirmed his intention to start filming the new Dune as soon as possible. He had originally planned to work on other projects before working on the third part, but after a summer break, inspiration struck.

“I felt a huge appetite and desire to see more, as well as a responsibility to finish this story,” the director shares.

The third film will take place 12 years after the events of the second part and will conclude the story of Paul Atreides. This will be Villeneuve’s last project in this universe.
