I've been learning more about cycling with my old 80s steel frame bike. It's interesting how these bikes were built to last, and the ride quality is definitely different from modern bikes. I’ve been focusing on maintaining it, making sure the gears shift smoothly and the brakes work effectively. I adjusted the saddle height and found that it significantly improved my comfort during longer rides. Also, I discovered that keeping the chain clean and lubricated really helps with performance. It’s a straightforward process, but it makes a noticeable difference. Overall, using this bike has helped me appreciate the mechanics behind cycling more. There’s a lot to learn, but it’s rewarding to see improvements in my rides. What maintenance routines do you follow for your bikes?
