Could it be as simple as brand vs. business outcome objectives? Growth feels more broad in the inputs used to get from point A to B

growth includes marketing, marketing doesn’t always include growth best example i can think of is brand marketing and positioning - not necessarily a driver of growth but could be included in your overall growth strategy

Marketing focuses on sales and brand strategy, while growth covers a broader range of strategies for overall business expansion.

Marketing screams web2 email shenanigans to me for some reason. Dislike. Unsubscribe. Growth feels more vibey and community driven... But I don't know if this is a spicy take.

i think both are interchangeable, but in my own dictionary marketing has a wider meaning as a system to achieve organizational results, and growth is specifically building and optimising AARRR funnels
