Do you have any recommendations for a lightweigh WordPress theme suitable for a portfolio and blog mix website?

Laytheme is quite cool, it has the Laygridder Plugin including with which you can create nice and simple grids. Lots of my students use it and I currently use it to build my artist website. but you know real degen devs want to change the tech stack when they are at nearly 95% 🤜
