(I noticed how sometimes crops / close-ups can be as or more interesting than the original, maybe it’s about composition? maybe I place elements too centered or boxed? maybe we just can’t see tiny details on social media and mobile? Food for thoughts, it’s too early ☕️)

in my part of the art world IG changed IRL painting - around 2015 or so a trend towards painting small started. Turns out that huge paintings, think Nightwatch, works very poorly on handheld screens whereas small work works almost better than IRL.
