Linkin Park / Hybrid Theory (Unmastered Finals 5/7/00)
Few days ago I've listened these "unmastered" tracks. It appears to be a collection from a CD-R that the band made during the album’s mixing process, not truly unmastered. "Crawling" sounds surprisingly good. It's clearly a mix of tracks with varying levels of compression/limiting, likely used to evaluate the rough mixes, similar to the demos/unmastered songs from Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication. "A Place For My Head" I think was more near the final stage so that's why it has more limiting applied.
