Potential cuts are personal for me and my family 

* 4/7 of my nieces and nephews have autism, two with major learning disabilities. California’s public education and support services have been critical to helping my sister and her family thrive. 

* I’m talking care of and elderly mother on social security who receives regular care from a specialized psychiatrist. Cannot live without this care 

* I relied on social security death benefits to help me raise my daughter after her dad died. I didn’t need it as much as many but it made a difference for us. For many that money is the groceries 

* My daughter is now a young woman living in this dystopia working her ass off trying to get to graduate school. If proper graduate programs will be allowed to exist 

I know all the news is giving many of you hard-ons for the institutional burning to come but there are real human people out here who are going to be harmed by the new administration
