Another run in the books for next month's regional 1500m. Moved up a bit from my normal 1.63km to 5km today. Added some strides towards the end to loosen up (getting down to about 2:50/km). Obligatory super cool Okinawan lion picture.

Came in at about 28 minutes today. Slow jog with some fast strides in the middle. I'm extremely low mileage compared to most on here, but want to ramp it up a tiny bit without getting hurt.

I run every day and have so for a bit over a year. Most people I see on here running are doing at least 5k per run. You run?

Great habit to have! 5k km? ๐Ÿคฏ or you meant 5km ๐Ÿ˜… I do, but on a treadmill. I ran once nearby and the experience was completely different. Struggled a lot and since then I stay on the treadmill. I have to take it easy as I've been feeling knee pains after running ~20min

Just 5km ๐Ÿ˜‚ After starting, I think my body took about 8 months of all kinds of different pains (w/ running everyday) to get to a relatively pain-free state. My friend @andidandy also picked up running from complete scratch and might have better advice on avoiding pain.

@leovido.eth for me it was mostly hip pain from pavement running but I changed shoes and its been very helpful. โ˜บ๏ธ I still enjoy treadmill running but now roads arenโ€™t bad at all. ๐Ÿ‘
