In 2009, Jonathan Tamayo made an incredible run in the World Series of Poker Main Event before finishing 21st. Fifteen years later, the poker pro got the job done, coming from behind to beat second-place Jordan Griff and third-place Niklas Astedt to earn $10 million and his first-ever WSOP bracelet. Do you think there will be new rules in the next WSOP regarding Laptops on the rail? 😁

As I understood there was already rules not to use it while playing, but didn't have those rules for the rail. One or the other way I dont understand whats the fuss about, cause there's not that much you can check after you played the hand. Calling him cheater is bullshit, cause he wasnt checking it while playing.

I believe the advantage given was seeing the solver based real time opening ranges from big blind and small blind based on stack size. He would of seen that. Then take his seat. It would allow him to play near perfect GTO for preflop on either position. I agree that post flop is not assisted and the value is minimal for the overall hand and variance. Polk, Dnegs and another did a pod assigning $100,000 in value verse the $10m 1st place. Not so much that anyone would chance using if tourney director ruled it a violation toward penalty laps or dq. I guess the next time a WSOP tourney director sees any use of real time assistance that person will be subject to harsh action. After all the commotion fields might reduce till recreational players feel better that they don't have to be concerned about having to play against real time solvers. Then its just trying to get lucky verses the pros that are well studied in the spots.

yeah thats true...but many people are saying it's kinda odd to have a "team" behind your back telling you how your opponent played some crucial spots few hands ago which could give you an edge for future hands...so idk if they really had access to played hands or just discussed some gto/solver stuff...but you're right calling him cheater is just dumb.
