Highlights: We need to increase the number of active users by 2.5 times from where we are now to make the system sustainable for the long term. That’s the top priority. The second key goal for Farcaster is to develop a recommendation system as effective as TikTok's. Only strong engagement can keep users here. It's also worth encouraging users to hide content they’re not interested in every day to help train the algorithm effectively. Experienced users can use Supercast or Recaster to have better control over their feed. It’s important for channel owners to be able to invite people directly into their channels. The registration cost on Farcaster will drop to $1. We’re not planning to release a token until we find a strong utility for it. For now, paying for gas with ETH and USDC is simpler, and we haven’t come up with anything better yet. Plus, a token could get in the way of projects like Degen, Moxie, and Higher.

To increase the number of active users, they need to attract new users, right? However, new or less influential users often get spam labels right away, so I don’t think their approach will successfully increase the number of active users.

I don't really understand how the number of active users will increase if so many people are marked as spammers, making it much harder to communicate and build a community? I don't think that without the ability to have a conversation, when your comments are hidden from the audience and you don't get feedback, it will retain new users in the long run.
