wow, NYMag is going to start posting on Substack (per Emily Sundberg's FeedMe newsletter). From last month's piece in NYMag's Intelligencer by Charlotte Klein: "And this is Substack’s moment, it seems. Thanks to a combination of forces — the decimation of Twitter, the collapse of the media industry, the explosion in demand for video and audio content, and the reemergence of Trump — Substack has escaped its humble newsletter beginnings to become a juggernaut collective of independent voices."

Seems like quite the shift from people saying Substack was on the way out a couple years ago I remember seeing people switch away from them to other sites but I’ve been seeing a lot more quality writing there Need to explore more

yes! i remember that, too, but they've really upped their network effects since then with recommended reads, leaderboards, the new social app, etc. also lots of independent media ran to it when X deboosted links and because most writers want to own a direct relationship with their audience (via emails).
