I wish more American land developers understood this strategy back in the 1900s instead of building American cities for cars instead of people. Maybe we'll figure it out this century. It's hard for me to want to live anywhere outside of NYC because an urban pedestrian lifestyle isn't really possible anywhere else today in America.

At the scale of NYC no there really isn’t, but having left NYC about 5 years ago I still don’t have a car It takes some planning but where I live now I have a ton of stuff on a 2 mile radius to walk to, cheap Ubers, multiple golf courses, and rent MUCH less than NYC It’s doable, just need to plan a bit more

Orlando, FL I’m just a bit outside of downtown, took me a while to find the right spot but totally worth it once I did
