A representative work of progressive jazz in the new century --- Hard Groove The RH Factor is a band led by jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, who is committed to exploring the boundaries of jazz music and the integration of different musical styles. The name is an abbreviation of Roy Hargrove, and it is also a pun on the precious blood type RH negative blood in blood type theory. The band's style can be described as progressive jazz, covering a variety of black music elements including Soul, Jazz, R&B, Funk and Hiphop.
