Friends, do you know about funk bands?
I won’t introduce albums tonight, but I will introduce one of my favorite funk groups (or projects), Master Huang’s close comrade-in-arms, vulfpeck!
Vulfpeck is an American funk band founded in 2011. The band members all studied at the University of Michigan School of Music. The founding members of the band include Jack Stratton (keyboards, drums and guitar), Theo Katzman (guitar, drums and vocals), Woody Goss (keyboards) and Joe Dart (bass). They are known for their retro funk music style, and the band’s regular touring partners and collaborators are Antwaun Stanley, Joey Dosik and Cory Wong.
Vulfpeck’s music style is deeply influenced by funk and soul music. Their works often have a strong sense of rhythm and melody, and have been widely praised and loved.
