Social apps have all kinds of layers, but formats (images, text, short vids) and feeds (chronological, thread bumping, algorithmic) are key. Got any favorite formats or something wild you’ve never seen before? And what kind of feed do you prefer? Curious to hear your thoughts!

Personally, I prefer visual formats, especially images and short videos. I think they have a great impact and are a fast and attractive way to consume content. Images can immediately capture attention and convey a message or emotion at a glance, while short videos are perfect for telling a story or showing something dynamically without requiring much time from the user.

As for the feeds, I lean towards the chronological ones. I like to be sure that I am viewing the publications in the order in which they were shared, without missing anything because of an algorithm. However, I recognize that algorithmic feeds also have their charm when they are well designed, since they can show relevant and personalized content, although sometimes I feel that they can become repetitive or limit the diversity of the content I consume.
