Not Coinbase wallet, Coinbase Smart Wallet.
CB Smart Wallet doesn't support degen chain. So you can't do anything with it. You can't even claim it and even if it got airdropped to you (like that season 7 or 8) you can't transfer it.

Ok, I see that what I have connected is smart wallet, so I can use MetaMask or rainbow

You can still receive it, just make sure you’re using your regular Coinbase wallet and not the smart wallet.
