The Madhubani style of painting appeared in India in the 5th century BC. At first, these paintings were based on freshly plastered mud walls, but now they can be used on all surfaces. The use of powdered rice paste to draw these paintings makes them unique. This type of painting was drawn using fingers, brushes or even tree branches.
