We have a few mechanics now in PN that are onchain native: Our shipwright building lets players own a business that gives them a portion of all fees from others using their shipwright to upgrade their ships. Because the game is a protocol, players even built their own “yellow pages” style app to find shipwrights that aren’t being utilized. https://www.piratenation.info/shipwright_dashboard

There's a resurgence of social growth happening again via FC/Discord/X/etc. On our end, we just launched a viral Discord campaign for Pirate Nation that's driving a lot of users to partners The web3 incentive model of getting users to try out new products & tell others about it is (currently) highly effective

While the app is migrated, the missing features (transfers/etc) is our top priority, we're actively working on it and hope to have most of the issues (and re-add missing features like transfers) resolved this week.

We were covering all gas for users so they got a seamless play experience. We were spending around $0.50 - $1/user/day, it spiked to $5/user/day last week and we were forced to accelerate our migration.

FYI we went live with our own chain today for Pirate Nation. The gas costs from Nova were spiking 5-6x normal. This is the only way to scale onchain games, happy to answer questions about it if anyone is curious.

By far the coolest part of building onchain for me is having others use what we're building as a building block for their own works. It's really hard to convince other talented devs that they should use your tech or build on top of your product, so I'm grateful and humbled every time it happens.

Really excited to announce this. We've been paying gas fees out of pocket and intentionally limiting user growth until we figured out how to scale / shard the game.
