I’m curious, how do you guys approach building for the outer meta. For example when you introduce a settlement building in the game, how do you approach putting incentives in game to make sure people use them? Do you guys prefer a hands off approach or a hands on approach? I imagine you have direct/indirect levers.

It has to been deeply woven into the core loop. Meaning it needs to have meaningful impact. The core loop of PN is 1. gather resources->2. craft/use them to enhance your deck->3. go to combat to get materials->repeat. Settlements will intersect with #2 and thus be core to getting the best cards/decks.

Speaking of combat... what other forms of combat have you thought about interweaving into the game?

The current status of SW buildings is that there is more supply than demand thus usage rates are low. To tackle this, would you approach this with direct gameplay changes (harder gauntlets was one) or indirect (like growing player base) or combination of both? And have you guys built models to predict the usage rates?
