In my entire personal network, I think I know only 1 person who actually lifts weights. Why is this? I wonder (1) what percentage of my friends regularly work out and don't talk about it and (2) what percentage of these people lift weights versus doing other stuff. I imagine it's (1) 50% and (2) 5-10%.

I don’t talk about my exercise regimen in fear of people (especially LPs that follow me) thinking I don’t work hard enough, especially as an emerging manager I work out 2-4hrs a day and that doesn’t *look* good. But I also don’t have kids and don’t do much else for fun (beside learning Spanish I guess)

Indeed. The truth is that in a 9-5, or even in finance, many of those hours are used inefficiently. So the idea that people work 8-10 hours per day is a myth. Personally, I find it very hard to do intellectually intense activities for more than 3 hours in a day.

Yes but also I can easily lose track of time and work for 16hrs straight between intellectually intensive activities + calls + admin + catching up on industry news
