Kurdistan Province is located in the west of the country and is adjacent to the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Hamadan and Kermanshah. This province is adjacent to Iraq and the Kurdish province of Sulaymaniyah to the west. Kurdistan Province is a mountainous region with high plains and wide valleys in terms of climate.
