Paul Gauguin was one of those artists who was not happy with civilization. Therefore, he traveled to Tahiti and went to the heart of the country's tradition. In this regard, he created a series of paintings, and one of the most famous of them is this painting When You Marry. This painting was painted by Gauguin a year after his departure to Tahiti, in 1892, and after that it was shown a very pleasant face and became one of the most famous paintings in the world.

Gauguin, indeed, had a tumultuous relationship with Van Gogh during their time together in Arles.
