🔴 Information of users of Bitfinex exchange was leaked?

 FSOCIETY hacking group claimed to have gained access to 2.5 terabytes of Bitfinex exchange data and personal details of 400,000 users.

This group announced that if their demands are not met, they will reveal all the documents related to KYC of the users.

According to Shinoji Research, one of the users accidentally tested one of the passwords in the leaked information and managed to get the 2fa code!

Paolo Arduino, the CEO of Tether and CTO of the Bitfinex exchange, responded to this incident and claimed that the published statistics and information are pure fraud, and out of the 22,000 emails published, only 5,000 emails belong to the users of this exchange.
