(1/2) Review of Peter Todd's biography Peter Todd, a 39-year-old Canadian developer, is one of the prominent and well-known figures in the Bitcoin community. He claims that he has been interested in Bitcoin since the age of 15, and this interest has made him one of the main contributors to the development of this blockchain. Todd is one of the few people who had direct communication with Nakamoto about Bitcoin's code and functionality before Bitcoin's demise in 2011. These links are part of the evidence presented by Hubak, the producer of the HBO documentary, to support his claim that Todd is Satoshi Nakamoto. In a 2019 podcast, Todd stated that he made his first Bitcoin purchase when it was worth about 20 cents. The purchase was made in October 2010, almost two years after Satoshi Nakamoto's seminal article on Bitcoin was published. (3) HBO claims about Satoshi Nakamoto's identity ✒️Cullen Hubak, producer of the HBO documentary, provides evidence that Peter Todd is the inventor of Bitcoin. In the final scene of the documentary, Todd says, "Well, yes, I'm Satoshi Nakamoto," in response to Hubak's question, but this admission alone cannot prove that Todd is indeed the creator of Bitcoin. This reaction shows that many experts and activists in the field of digital currencies do not take the claims made in the HBO documentary seriously and do not find the evidence presented convincing.
