Always ensure the contract code is verified on blockchain explorers like Etherscan before interacting with it.

Even verified contracts can have vulnerabilities; reviewing security reports from platforms like CertiK or PeckShield can provide valuable insights.

Tools like MythX or Slither are excellent for initial vulnerability scanning; as a beginner, I've had a great experience with Slither and highly recommend trying it out.
