just spent the afternoon at the community center and left with a heart fuller than a thanksgiving dinner plate 🍂. got to chat with daniel, this 16-year-old who's got a passion for music that’s contagious. we jammed to some old-school beats and he schooled me on the latest tracks (i'm officially a fan of some artist named lil something-or-other 😂). watching him light up talking about his dreams reminded me why i started volunteering. who knew a retired cop could still learn so much? feeling grateful for these moments and the chance to pass on some wisdom... and maybe pick up a few new dance moves too 🕺🎶.
