If the goal was less engagement and more needless gatekeeping then I think the changes @dwr.eth made to channel membership are incredible!

I’ve been a prolific caster in /food and have an existing streak since they were introduced. Went to cast last night and realized I couldn’t (as a non member lol)

Difficult to figure out why DAU is down and so many OGs don’t bother with the app anymore

argument you make for channel changes leading to dropping DAU is a bit moot when the change happened today

cast reads max frustration but without thinking about the bigger picture - also your issue gets resolved with contacting the channel owner or starting your own food channel 🫠

Start my own food channel rather than cast in the one that has hundreds of thousands of users and I’ve casted in hundreds of times, great idea!

It’s frustration from a number of poor decisions, this being the latest (and probably most egregious)
