Feels like there’s an underlying assumption that the digital nomad values their work and productivity. I’ve done it for a while and work was just a means to keep travelling, learn new languages and meet new people. Like a sidejob not a carreer

Why does it matter what the first point of contact is? If you find someone online you will be going out on a date irl soon enough. After that building a relationship is just the same. I doubt the quality of the relationship depends much on how you first meet

I hate to disappoint because it's pretty mundane however I also have no idea why a previous owner wrote it there. It means "Add bath", the whole sentence is "Add bath + wc ... " (can't read the rest because it's behind the fusebox)

Well you can be fearful together with someone, but that can be a very real bonding experience too so it only proves your point. I guess it doesn’t translate well over music. The interesting question that remains for me is, why is sadness meant to be shared? I agree that it is because it feels right.

Very interesting thanks for sharing! Could only read the abstract, the neurological evidence supports what I’ve always thought; that happiness and sadness are not opposite. Both can be beautiful experiences in their own way. I’d prefer sadness to a feeling of numbness, agitation, deep anxiety or depression any time

That’s right! But still I don’t connect on the same deep level on anger, cheerfulness, fear or any other emotions when I’m in that state and listen to music in kind. I hope you get to experience it again for the sake of the beauty of the experience, but not for such a reason that makes you sad for a long time

That’s right! btw I’m not claiming that it is more real, just that it feels more real to me, so it’s a question of qualia. Very interesting that you feel the opposite. That kind of tells me that I haven’t felt real equanimity in years, but now that you mention it I have felt that realness too while travelling

I think I feel most alive and paradoxically ‘the best’ when I’m absolutely sad and listening to melancholic music. Maybe it’s because those are the moments that relate us to eachother the most. Anyway I’m there now. Feeling low and also somehow higher than I’ve felt in months

What is it about sadness that gives a sense of realness to life. Why does happiness feel comparatively fake? Maybe my question is wrong. Maybe I’m comparing a state of deep emotion (sadness) with a state of superficial emotion (contentness). But even feelings of Euphoria can feel superficial in retrospect

Exactly, What’s worse, as soon as Microstrategy starts selling and someone finds out, they trigger sell offs from others as well. Best thing they could do is sell into huge volume during the bull stage of the market
