We rescued this stray about a month (we call her Sammy) and she’s adjusted to being a house cat really quickly, but Brigi, who’s been a solo kitty the past 9 years, is not happy and now confining herself to the bedroom protecting her territory. When they come into the same room, it’s a full on cat brawl. Right now they’re separated on different floors, have their own food and boxes, and have also tried feeding them with a door between them. Sammy is so ready and wants to be friends… Brigi not having it. Any tips on how to help them acclimate would be greatly appreciated 🐾

You could try bringing them together for a few minutes every day with a barrier in between them (a see through glass or a wire mesh or something else) so they won't be able to fight each other, they'll just be forced to look at each other and slowly they'll get comfortable with each other's presence I hope this helps 🙏 💕
