Children don't listen to advice, they imitate examples. Children learn more from what they see than from what they are told. While parents, teachers, and elders often give advice, it is their actions that truly shape a child's behavior. If a parent tells a child to be polite but is rude to others, the child is more likely to imitate the behavior rather than follow the advice. Similarly, if a teacher preaches honesty but is dishonest in small ways, children will pick up on the contradiction. Young minds are like sponges, absorbing habits, attitudes, and values from their surroundings. This is why leading by example is the most effective way to teach children. If we want them to be kind, respectful, and responsible, we must demonstrate these qualities in our own actions. Instead of just telling children what is right or wrong, we should show them through our behavior.
