Hate the thought of artists feeling constrained to a style they are known for because some influencoor shared marketing wisdom on branding from a podcast they listened to half of.

This kind of BS held me back for years as an artist. Artists should never feel constrained to the feelings of their collectors. Somebody might have a good idea for you and you may think there's merit in it, but you are never beholden to them. Don't worry about losing their faith in you. It's not their journey

So true, never once will I care what a marketing influencer thinks. I make my art to relax myself and express my creativity. Those who like and support my art will and those who don't won't.  I'm perfectly fine with that.

agree, at the same time I also think artists free themselves from a particular style but in sequences. they don't massively explore multiple style at the same time but in epochs

Artists should live the mfer way and do what they feel and create in what ever style they resonate with

That bs is so widespread that many fall for it. Standardisation and art as a product being rewarded and championed is heartbreaking and infuriating.

Feel like when an artist has fun creating you can tell, it's nice when your only constraint is finding joy and you can move across mediums, styles and influences, but again, I don't create art for a living so can understand some artists pressure.

Influencer = regurgitator of mostly useless information

It took me some messing up before I realized I am not a brand. The whole "Personal Brand" thing is kinda poison for art IMO.
