If people knew how easy it is to make something that resembles art now, they’d talk more about concept.

True, with art becoming easier to produce, the focus naturally shifts towards the uniqueness and depth of the concept.

Concept is definitely challenging wrt abstract art (like coded generative art). Some people aren’t concerned about it but I prefer to have some concept behind what I’m making, even if it isn’t obvious to the viewer. Otherwise it’s just another pretty picture, innit?
