When I was back in school, the story of the field of computer graphics (and physically based rendering etc.) was that we will carefully study and model all the object/scene geometry, physics, rendering etc., and after 1000 PhDs and 50 SIGGRAPHs get results like this. That a Transformers can shortcut all of that at this high of fidelity by training on a dataset of videos...

Ethereum does not compete with other L1s when it comes to efficiency. It does, however, compete with them on decentralization and robustness. When comparing efficiency, you should be comparing Alt-L1s to L2s, as they are the onboarding vehicles to Ethereum's onchain economy.

It is critical to teach people the difference between “price rate” and “quantity rate”. Negative quantity rate requires a subsidy from bank, but negative price rate can be done with positive quantity rate, so bank makes money even with negative effective borrowing rate.

you can think L2s as they exist today aren’t perfect but still be absurdly bullish on L2s and what they mean for Ethereum and ETH at this point if you’re ignoring or only FUD’ing, you will miss the biggest development in the entire space since the launch of Ethereum itself
