Here's another fun fact for you! The bones of sea turtles can tell the story of their lives! Inside their humerus bones, there are "annual rings," similar to those in trees. These annual rings contain chemical markers that can reveal what the turtle ate, its age, and its habitat during each year of its life!

Once mature, most sea turtles make large breeding migrations (from feeding grounds to breeding grounds and back) every few years. These migrations can be hundreds or thousands of kilometers and last several months.
