There's been a gender revolution in the world of seahorses: males are here to bear offspring! Their unique abdominal pouch turns them into living incubators:

🔹 2-4 weeks of "pregnancy"
🔹 Regulating the environment and nutrition for the eggs
🔹 Real "birth" with muscle contractions

They are the only creatures with a full male pregnancy, including placental exchange. In doing so, they form monogamous pairs for life!
