The problem of Ethereum scaling does not lose its relevance, but developers do not sit idly by.

More recently, Dencun has been upgraded, which dramatically reduced L2 commissions. Now an equally large-scale update is being prepared - Pectra, designed to make the system more flexible, efficient and user-friendly.

Pectra combines Prague and Electra updates designed to expand the capabilities of wallets and make Ethereum more efficient.

A large-scale upgrade is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.

Pectra, in particular, will bring the functionality of smart contracts to the usual wallets and allow validators to stake more than the current limit of 32 ETH - up to 2048 ETH.
