i see many comparing the crypto AI agent explosion to 2020 DeFi. i get why that is and i'd love for it to be true. but DeFi was anchored around some core "jobs to be done": swapping, lending, stables, crowdfunding. what is the analogous set of uses for agents?

The most compelling use case I see is UX. See bankr making buying & bridging easy and askgina's upcoming wallet integration. To my mind this is the "abstracting away complexity" bit that we've been talking about for the past 2 years.

i do think a subset of them exist actually but only 1 is the current focus (i.e. virtuals/ai16z) roll filling, dao governance, context specific KOL are a few that come to mind for example a dao that controls a lot of channels can generate revenue and delegate positions to human or agent mods. that dao can near full autonomous imo

DeFi had jobs to be done AI agents need their to-do list. Core use cases will define if it’s 2020 DeFi or just noise. 🚀
