it's really common in blockchain infra - where the infra layer will pay devs and other companies to use their tech. it's crazy. imagine mongodb paying its users/customers to adopt the tech (and not the other way around)

imho this is the same in Web2: devs tries to build on A-list SDKs but remain anonymous. Then they chase grants from mid-tiers projects. The real deal? Devs who build where the perfect match for their product is. Flappy bird? No need for grants: iOS was the only place to build mobile apps and reach billions
