As an artist, you should be aware that OpenSea is not promoting your visibility. This leaves you on your own! What to do to be identifiable on OpenSea (esp. if you are minting your pieces on Rodeo)—A THREAD! (1/10)

Who needs to locate you? Your collectors! So, do yourself a favor and assist your collectors in finding you, or you will become lost among thousands of creators and NFTs on a platform that still lacks a good search function after all these years and zillions of $ in revenues. (2/10)

Imagine a wallet with 5000 items in it. Say you want to find all the pieces you own of the artist AlleyTac. You write AlleyTac in the search bar. Result? 👇 As I said before, OS doesn't help! (3/10)

On the left side of your OS profile, you can search for collections, but it's unlikely that someone who has stuff from 1000 collections will remember the name of your specific one. Furthermore, if you mint on Rodeo and name your collection Rodeo Posts (as Rodeo does it automatically), here's what happens! 👇 All of them are called Rodeo posts. Good luck in being found! What to do? (4/10)

Go to your profile page on OS and edit/replace the title Rodeo Posts. Make sure you include your name in the title. Why? (5/10)

Because in the collection search bar, you just have to type your name, and the collection will be found. (6/10)

Furthermore... In OS 1, the name of the author was under the pic. If your name is a wallet adress, you're doomed! Why? (7/10)

Because if someone wants to write a feature about you and your work, or include it in a diptych, triptych, etc. (which is free marketing for you), and you cannot be identified, your work will be overlooked. It also helps with secondary sales, especially for those DM bargains. If one is unable to locate the piece within a reasonable time frame, it will remain unsold, and you will lose the creator fee. Take care of your OS profile, edit it and make sure your name (or your ens) will appear on OS, not your wallet address. (8/10)

In the new OS2 mode, there's no way to see the author when you open any NFT page, unless you include it in the collection title. Also don't ignore the 'About' section. Include your name there as well, when you mint. @yedai knows! (9/10)
