while communism might seem like a good idea, it can only work in a bounded context — family / small community.

you can't scale a family.

please, for the love of anything that is dear to you, stop people from pushing communism on a large scale. it just doesn't work. we got rid of it 30 years ago and the bad smell still lingers.

I agree that over 30 years is still not enough time. I recall President Reagan calling the Soviets "evil people" and I recall thinking that the people must not be in a position to stop the Soviet leaders - untill they were!
