In my mind it’s all economics bc there really isn’t any kind of policy that doesn’t have some kind of economic effects downstream.

As to the ‘theater’ of politics, I’d say almost non of politics is legitimately about economics bc A. It’s more than likely lip service and B. Probably a dissociative discussion of what actually get implemented into policy. 

So while you mayyyy follow through on something that you campaigned on but it’s a measley 10% of a bill thats packed with an asinine amount of other bs that lobbyist and think tanks padded it with.🤦

I feel the same way. like it’s all about economics and not about economics at all at the same time, depending on the  observer/context, Schrödinger cats be damned lol. I figured most/some would win out but I’m mildly surprised at how few ppl chose all or little/none so far

Having spent most my life firmly in the “it’s all economics” school I’m legit interested in hearing other perspectives and contextually shapes them. 

The theater distinction is helpful to articulate the “no economics” observation.
