It is pure trolling, let's be real.
I think the underlying idea here is, how to break a monopoly on the access to power, which right now is owned by the dems and the reps. It's very difficult, but it can happen. With a different political color, it happened in 2017 in France when Macron broke this monopoly that had been running for hundreds of years between the traditional left and right parties. imo, this can only happen with a "messiah" type of candidate. This candidate needs to have an aura so strong, and arrive at such a perfect moment, that it becomes obvious to everyone that he's the one people need to vote for to make this change happen.
Until such a candidate shows up, voting for 3rd party candidate is pretty much useless imo, unless you believe someone like Jill Stein is the type of candidate I described above. (I have zero opinion about that btw)
In the US, a young liberal entrepreneur, pro-environment and slightly socialist (not too much or you lose the moderate reps) could be that guy. 0 reply
