It was a gloomy, rainy morning. Heavy, leaden clouds hung low over the city, blocking out the sunlight. John aimlessly wandered the deserted streets, head bowed wearily. He felt melancholic and lonely. He had recently broken up with his beloved girlfriend, and the gloomy thoughts would not leave his mind. He felt lost and shattered. Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind blew, and the first large raindrops struck John's face. He didn't even notice the rain starting. Slowly raising his head, John pulled up the collar of his coat and trudged on. The cold drops streamed down his cheeks, mixing with his tears. ...It seemed as if nature itself was mourning his grief. The rain was intensifying, drumming on the asphalt. John walked on, heedless of his soaked clothes, lost in his sorrowful thoughts. There was not a soul around - everyone was hiding from the inclement weather. He had never felt so alone. Unexpectedly, John was enveloped in a warm light - he looked up and saw a girl approaching him with a large umbrella. Their eyes met, and in that moment, John felt a tiny ray of hope seeping into his heart. Perhaps even in such gloomy weather, one could find a little warmth and solace?
