🟠#BTC Swedish lawmaker Rickard Nordin has proposed (https://cryptoslate.com/swedish-lawmaker-urges-government-to-establish-bitcoin-reserve-amid-global-economic-shifts/) that the government explore adding Bitcoin to its foreign currency reserves. He argued that Bitcoin’s gold-like characteristics and global adoption make it a valuable tool for hedging against inflation. Nordin also suggested that instead of liquidating Bitcoin seized by customs or police, Sweden could retain it as part of its strategic reserves, thereby avoiding additional tax liabilities. The proposal requires an official response from Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson by April 16.
