I joined the Ethereum Foundation Leadership Team last week. I joined the EF Research team in mid-2017, starting by contributing to the early sharding proof-of-concept. Over the years, my focus has been on L1 R&D, and that will remain my core area defense. I'm also

ETH is used as money for all the new use cases pushing the internet forward, from decentrazlied finance to NFTs to prediction markets to stablecoins to gaming to DAOs and more. It also yields ~2.5%, is deflationary and benefits from the growth of the most sound blockchain scaling

Reth view: Spend Core Dev time testing PeerDAS + EOF to ship Fusaka in 2025. No consideration of additional things until we're confident we can raise the blobs in 2025. Too many high gas per second rollups will come online in 2025 and we cannot afford to not be ready.

This is what they actually believe. They'll do anything to make the multikulti project work, even sacrificing young girls to predators.

The bet on L2s is a bet on Ethereum, Celestia, EigenLayer, Arbitrum, ZK Sync, Optimism, and Polygon. The bet on L2s is a bet on the biggest base layer in crypto. The bet on L2s is a bet on onboarding millions of new users on chains. The bet on L2s is a bullish bet. The future

It may seem like the twitter/communication layer is trivial when compared with other areas of Eth. But it's not. For example, recently a top eth builder made negative comments about the value of communicating and sharing ideas on twitter. Of course, builders are eth's greatest

The UK cops withheld that the 18 year old kid who stabbed 3 little girls had an Al Queda training manual and made ricin, information they have released now, 3 months later, and have finally added a "terrorism" charge to his case.

The gas limit will most likely be at 36M by EOY at this rate. Seems like the pump is not stopping even in the face of an holyday. daily average is at 27.3% but by looking at etherscan, it has to be >30% already

i'm not surprised to see today that Deutsche Bank is creating their own Ethereum L2 i don't think people realize that this doesn't stop until EVERY major financial institution in the world is onchain, on Ethereum you can't opt out of the new financial internet

Concerned about the capital gravity well on the L1. Concerned that L2s will soon be faster and cheaper than alt L1s. Concerned to see next gen interop coming online. Have to slow down growth for the sake of ETH ETFs. They need time to catch up their allocation while still cheap.

Bitcoin has become a national security threat. It's one thing when private citizens voluntarily waste their own money buying #Bitcoin. But it crosses the line when they bribe government officials to squander the public's money buying it. Bitcoin is now public enemy number

I had an interesting interaction with a Bitcoiner today that helped me better understand their earnest perspective on Ethereum. This, in turn, clarified the source of their error and why the world will ultimately end up buying our ETH bags.

Devcon Satellite Event applications are extended to January 31st. We were so happy with the quality of the applications, that we want to see more of them. Apply to organize a meetup to watch and discuss Devcon talks, or join one of the 12 events happening around the world rn.πŸ‘‡

Investors will eventually realize that Bitcoiners are desperate to get - and light years from achieving - what we already take for granted in Ethereum. This cycle has been very unkind to ETH. So far. Mostly that's our fault for bad marketing. Yet, ETH is inevitable. Patience.

Biden had a 7m advantage in the popular vote in 2020. That’s a fairly wide margin, one that could, potentially be entirely eliminated by some regression to the mean and losing all of the crypto vote. Would be wild if it actually came to that.

Gas is the mechanism by which (most) blockchains manage computational resources and drive revenue to node operators. Let's dive deep on blockchain fees and the gas market that underpin Ethereum.

Founders: if your startup path feels predictable, someone probably built it already. Find what actually drives you, build with people you trust, and persistently chase a vision that feels impossible β€” that's what keeps you going at mile 23.
