This is my personal nightmare - absolutely hate layering in any weather - starting to reconsider going tbh 

I don’t know if I can handle being both uncomfortable physically and looking like crap at the same time

Being cold is a mindset 

In all seriousness
Get some omniheat tights and base long sleeve
That will help a lot

Then I recommend hiking socks and a good fleece jacket to wear as a mid layer

Finally, your jacket should be wind proof; if not get a windbreaker or rain jacket to wear as a final outer layer

Layer layer layer and then use a tote to store your layers when inside

I had some leftover layers from my last Mammoth trip but idk where they are if I can even fit in those

… and I hate wearing sweats at events

i bought leggings to wear under my pants last time i went and used them every day!

It’s too early to tell! I kid you not February March varies sooo much. Sometimes it’s so sunny and you don’t even need a coat - but days before it snowed. Granted, I’m from here, but 50 degrees isn’t too bad.
