so far, my LA plans are down horrendously: · got scammed out of $1000 on a big lenticular print batch. · only managed to edit 1 youtube video in 1+ month, and i don’t even like it. · the only way for me to stay longer is with a US employment contract. all i want is to focus on my art without stressing over visas and bureaucracy, but that shit is always in the back of my mind. it’s frustrating being so far from the community that supports me the most, so i truly want to find my way. still vibing though, but i wish i could've done more this past month... most of my time went to visa requirements and setting up an LLC just to be able to sell pieces online as a foreigner, and i couldn't focus on producing the pieces themselves.

You probably already know but just in case: O1 is the best visa for artists Otherwise H1B is doable if you get an offer from a non-profit The regular H1B is hard to get but not entirely impossible. Sadly, you won’t be able to start until next Oct regardless Some school program that allows OPT/CPT may be an option (but expensive) Been there, done that, sorry this is so rough (and LA is not budget-friendly at all)
