I do have cancellable backups at HolidayInn LES and Pod Brooklyn just in case

But the apt I found is cheaper than both, bigger and in an amazing building

eyeballs. are you staying in brooklyn area or new york? I will have to be on the lookout and use like ALL my tax refund on this haha (not that large of a refund but I still need to file)
