Excited to share some news with you - we’re raising 1 ETH from the Farcaster community to reimburse creators and artists for Farcon NYC Summit tickets  they acquired. 

We already have some users who offered to match the funds we raise - we are extremely grateful for their generous donations.

How to Donate ⬇️

* Send USDC on Base to the scholarship fund safe - ‼️address listed in the first comment

The fundraiser will take place from Feb 18 through March 19. We will start accepting scholarship applications only AFTER the fundraising period ends and we know the exact number of scholarships we can offer.

Also note that this initiative is independent from the official Farcon NYC org efforts.

This is cool! how can someone be eligible to be reimbursed? 🙈 I was actually talking about this with a friend, I did pay my ticket but im coming from Finland and the trip will be very pricy for me - just curious who’s eligible and super cool initiative I will share it

Fine Print:

    - All funds raised, even if the raise goal isn't reached, will go to scholarships for Farcaster Creators.

    - Scholarship distribution will be decided by a committee of trusted Farcaster community members.

    - Farcon NYC 2025 Creator Scholarship Organizers, nor scholarship distribution committee, are not eligible to receive a scholarship.

    - Applications for scholarships will begin after fundraising ends.

    - By donating, you are still eligible to be awarded a scholarship, however donations do not guarantee a scholarship.

    - If you received a scholarship from the Farcon NYC coordinators, or a pass to Builders Day, then you are not eligible to receive a Creator scholarship.

    - Communications will occur in the Farcon NYC Warpcast channel. DCs will not be answered.
